Spotlight: Emory Sage

by {Not So} Suddenly Susan on April 1, 2012

I love supporting small businesses that specialize in handmade products..  I love, even more, supporting them when they are made by people that I know.  I have had a lot of crafty friends start businesses, and have watched them flourish.  So when I had the opportunity to showcase Emory Sage, by Megan (@somewhatvoluble) I was really excited.  If you don’t follow her on twitter, you should.  She’s  finishing up her B.S. as a full-tim student and has put a lot of effort into making Emory Sage successful!  Where she has the time to be creative, is beyond me, but she seems to have no problem.

Since opening up her Etsy shop, which by the way, when she opened it, and it only had a few finger knit scarves, I already knew I wanted to order one.  So now that she’s added more selection, it makes me super happy.

I picked up the Chrysanthemum Ring – Lavender, which I thought would be so perfect for spring, since my closet seems to be filled with shades of purple and blue this year!

Emory Sage: Chrysanthemum Ring - Lavender

This is how it came, I love that she took time to write a little note. It keeps it personal.

And here’s a picture of it on, so you can see it in comparison to my fingers.

I’m always looking for fun, right hand rings, and this will meet that requirement! I kind of wanted to order one of each bobby pin in their assorted colors, because I’m always using bobby pins, but I felt that was a bit excessive ;)

Here’s a few pics of her inventory to give you an idea of what she has to offer!

Chunky Finger Knit Scarf - Dark Green $25

Chrysanthemum Hair Pin - Green - $5

Owl Necklace $14

The owl necklace is adorable, and I have a friend who loves owls. I’m considering it for a gift for her :)

And, because Megan is super awesome – she’s offering any of my readers a 15% discount. This is good through the end of April, so make sure you get something fun! To save 15% at Emory Sage, just enter code: SUS15OFF

How much is it worth to you?

August 1, 2011

I started Saturday out on in a crappy mood.  So what better way to fix the mood than by going shopping? Husband was willing to oblige but we had a few errands to throw in the mix.  To get started, we wanted to run to CoinStar and cash in our change we had been saving. [...]
