Operation:Adoption has been decided

If you follow me on twitter you will have noticed a few tweets where I mention adoption. That’s right, folks, this journey has an official plan again.

I posted awhile ago about my blood work, and infertility treatments, and the success rates, and the option of adoption. Well after some soul searching, we’ve committed to adoption. This is our path. I was meant to be a mother, just not in the regular sense. B and I have done a lot of research. We’ve gotten our list down to three places. There’s a place right here in Medina, one in Columbus that my cousin went through, and then through Summit County.  One of them (Summit County) is foster to adopt only. I’m not sure how that all works, so we are going to go and learn more before we commit. Its going to take a lot of support, patience and money to get through this, but we can do it.

I will be starting a totally separate blog for it, so that the agency can use it without exposing too much personal information about us. I will post the link when its ready. I appreciate all the kind words and support you guys have offered for us, its a long journey, were going to keep needing it!

Also – I will be doing a raffle of sorts in the near future to try and raise money.  I already have one person who volunteered her services to be raffled off.  I might be reaching out to a few people to see if you’d be interested. The new blog will include information for cost and where the money is going, etc.  So as soon as it’s ready, I will post the information here.

Remember that, possibly overdramatic, post the other day about my AMH results, and our future of dealing with infertility? Well, now that I’ve had the time to calm down, B and I have done alot of soul searching on what to do next. There’s no right or wrong answer.  Our choices (either individually or a [...]

For more than three years now, B and I have been trying to start a family. I have talked about it, and this past summer, when I went for my annual BW panel and my WTF appointment to help figure out why we’ve had no progress, despite weight loss, and trying drugs and IUIs, [...]

I went to see my fertility specialist this week, to kind of get an idea of where we stand and what is going on.  It had been a year since I was there last and had a full check, all the blood work, etc.  It’s been a year since my last surgery, a year since [...]

Yesterday, I was tracking my food and reflection on the day over at 100 point 5 (which is where I do my daily logging to keep from flooding up your feed here!) and on this post, specifically, I found myself lying. I didn’t realize at the time I was lying… Let me explain. I started [...]

This week is classified as National Infertility Awareness Week. During this week the only blog posts I have will be related to this to help spread the message and clear up any myths.  I hope my regular readers do not mind, but there is a lot of information out there that people might not be [...]

Yang Deficiency and Dampness? Say whattt?

January 16, 2012

Another topic that came up at my acupuncture appointment, was that I’m cold. Not just cold to the touch, but I’m typically cold, my BBT will tell this. I have a yang deficiency. Who knew that way back in the day, when I bought every piece of yin yang jewelry, this would some how trickle [...]
