The Connected fork from CES

It’s time to talk about a fork, folks.  I know, who would have thought a fork deserved that much attention?

I didn’t attend CES, but because I love technology, I like to see what smaller companies are doing. It used to be fun with the large companies, but now they are constantly “leaking” information that we all know what they’re doing.  A fork isn’t exactly what you would think I would be talking about, but I am, and I’m very intrigued by it!

One product that jumped out at me though was the  HAPIfork Bluetooth connected fork, for eating.

This fork, connected via bluetooth (although, from a few articles I read, it said USB too)  to your phone, will help you stop shoveling food in your mouth, and help you start eatting mre slowly.  It will actually vibrate if you’re eating too fast. WHAT? How awesome is that!?

This fancy little device is only $99 and you can preorder now! I’m so tempted, I think this is so interesting!

And, because you know how I feel about fitbit and the fact that they lie about it being fully compatible with mac… they also have something similar. It’s called the HAPItrack. “HAPItrack is an activity tracker that motivates you to be more active, helps you stay in shape and captures your HAPImoments.”

It’s SO CUTE! And because that isn’t enough, it appears based on what I could see on the website, there’s a wrist band on the way that tracks sleep and stress.  Should be interesting.  I can’t afford $300 for everything to test it out, kind of have a baby we’re trying to adopt and all, so maybe they should have a blog giveaway (hint hint) ;)

I love fun, new technology that can help us live healthier lives. Even if it seems silly, it has an impact. Would you buy it?

I can’t even remember when, a year or two ago I asked for a Fitbit for Christmas.   And I loved it.  I bragged about ithere.  But about three months after using it, I started to have major issues with it syncing.  I went back and forth with tech support, and it started working for [...]

Review: Beats by Dre: Heartbeats Headphones

December 15, 2011

I love that there are so many discount designer websites out there, that really depend on massive quantity being sold, and so they sell at a discount.  Some of my favorites are ideeli, Beyond the Rack, and theFoundary (for awesome home stuff!). The other day I decided to treat myself to to the Beats by [...]

Learning never ends…

June 30, 2011

>It’s interesting how we never stop learning about ourselves.  I have been complaining talking about this summer camp that I’m participating in this year.  It’s a technology camp… I had lots of fun activities planned.  A podcast interview, creating a website, programming in scratch, creating a magazine cover, etc etc.  These kids however – have other [...]
