If you remember, just a few weeks ago I announced I was participating in the 21-day meditation challenge.
It’s been a long 21 days to be honest. So how did it go?
Overall: I missed 3 days in total. Two while we went out of town, and one I was in such a funk from my allergies that I never even thought about it.
Progress: I started with just 5 minutes a day in the corner of my classroom the first week. I started using the meditative mist, and added a little longer. I then bumped it to 7 and then tried to get 10. 10 is still a task for me. I have the time, so that’s not the problem. But the focus/attention for it is still a struggle. That’s a work in progress.
I struggle to make time, and then I regret later that I didn’t. It’s a vicious cycle.
How I feel: Clear headed and calm. It’s interesting but I feel clear in the mornings. I’m usually rushing around crazy all day feeling behind. Even if I am not fully prepared, I still feel better than I did before.
Future: I’m going to continue. My goal is to do it daily, but I’m not sure that will always be the case.
So that’s where I am with everything. I’m happy that I did it, and it’s something I certainly want to continue.
Did you try the challenge? How did you do?
I'm a 30-something yoga-lovin', tea-drinkin' high school teacher struggling to find my place in this crazy world. My blog focuses on my journey to lose weight, get healthy, and our attempts to become a family of three. I spend a lot of time exploring and embracing Akron, often photo-documenting my trips. Everything else is just the glitter in my life that adds to who I am.
